The Vietnamese Prime Minister signed this Decision on March 21, setting forth the following major scientific and technological objectives, orientations and tasks for the 2006-2010 period: - To raise our countrys scientific and technological level up to the regional level; - To adequately and timely supply scientific grounds for national industrialization and modernization; - To raise the quality and efficiency of scientific researches, increase the number of international-level scientific researches to those of regional countries;

Deputy PM seeks agronomy strategy

The agricultural science and technology sector needs a long term development strategy until 2025, said Deputy Prime Minister Pham Gia Khiem at a recent national conference on the subject in Ha Noi.He said the industrialisation and modernisation of rural agriculture had been given top priority by the Party and Government. Khiem said science and technology were the driving force for agricultural development, but they needed back up from good policies and infrastructure. |
